Community stewardship is core to the mission of the Friends of Hayes Park — being a Friend means being informed of and engaged in volunteer opportunities, and committing to help keep Hayes Park a beautiful place to create and share joy within our community.
As a Friend, you’ll be added to our mailing list to receive notice of our events, including clean-up and planting days, as well as an invitation to our annual meeting.
There are no annual dues to be a Friend of the park, although donations of any amount are greatly appreciated!
While optional, donations by our Friends are critical to help fund maintenance, horticulture, and special events within the park — all of which are organized, performed, or paid for by the Friends (the City of Boston only covers trash pickup in the park).
While Hayes Park is a City of Boston park property, only trash pick up is covered by the city. All landscaping and routine maintenance is organized, performed or paid for by the Friends.
